Cheek Augmentation

Overview: Cheek Augmentation

Full cheek bones have always been a hallmark of attractiveness and facial beauty. They frame the eyes and balance the nose, lips, and chin. Fuller cheeks may be augmented in patients with weak or underdeveloped cheek bone contour. We can also redevelop the cheek bones of patients who have unfortunately undergone trauma to the facial skeleton.

Techniques used to improve the volume of the cheek include transfer of the patients’ own adipose tissue or placement of silicone implants. The implant size is carefully selected prior to surgery to ensure coordination with all existing facial features. A well concealed incision under the upper lip is utilized to facilitate placement of the implant. The new implant will rapidly adjust to the new location and deliver the appropriate volume and fullness to the cheek area.
